Groups at northbrook covenant

Groups are one way our people here at Northbrook Covenant support each other in our journey of faith and connect to our larger community.  For the most up-to-date information about current small group offerings, reach out to Pastor Joséjoseg.northbrookcov@gmail.com

CURRENT GROUPS

  • Welcoming the STranger (Small Group)

As we seek biblical wisdom on how we engage the topic of immigration, we invite you to participate in our denomination-wide Liturgical Common Read of "Welcoming the Stranger" by Matthew Soerens and Jenny Yang. This book offers theological insights and real stories that help us understand the people behind a complex issue.

Through this communal Covenant-wide reading experience, we’ll explore what God’s Word says about caring for immigrants and refugees. Join us as we prayerfully discern together, practice solidarity as a denominational family, and live into our calling as followers of Christ who welcome the stranger.

Order the book "Welcoming the Stranger," available at covbooks.com and various outlets online. Please contact Pastor José (joseg.northbrookcov@gmail.com) if you are interested in joining the group.

See our events page for our next meeting date.
