Children’s Ministries @ Northbrook Evangelical Covenant Church
“Believing in Jesus, Belonging to Jesus, Becoming like Jesus.”
Our goal in children’s ministry at Northbrook Covenant Church is for children to develop a meaningful, lifelong, transforming relationship with Jesus Christ.
We offer a safe, welcoming environment where children experience Bible-based teaching in creative and relevant ways. We are blessed with devoted and gifted teachers and leaders throughout our children’s ministries, who really care about our children. Our goal is to provide a strong Christian foundation while helping our kids to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and into the persons God has created them to be. We also encourage and provide resources to parents who provide for their children’s spiritual nurture at home.
Family Events: These quarterly events are fun for the entire family! Whether you are 1 or 100, or any age in between, these events are for you! Stay tuned for details.
Sunday School: Children’s Sunday School is currently running according to our school year schedule. Children start in the worship service at 10:30am with their parents and then they are dismissed right after the Children’s Message is given by our creative pastor! The children follow the topics of the adult sermons with games, crafts, and activities that help to focus at their level. Each week a family page is sent home, which includes a discussion points and activities to help families explore these topics together.
Nursery and Early Childhood: This amazing ministry is focused around play and safe ways to explore the world away from mom and dad. Our environment is rich in love and materials that are developmentally appropriate.
Kingdom Kids: Many of our adults attend Sunday School Class at 9:15am; there are also many parents who participate in the service who come early to rehearse. We provide special programming for children at those times. This is a wonderful time to enjoy a Bible story from a fresh perspective while enjoying more involved enrichment experiences. This program only takes place during the school year (Fall to Spring).
Join Faith Factory! Where fun and fellowship collide! Join us from 3:30pm-5:00pm the second Wednesday of each month to share in a devotional, a delicious snack, songs, and games! It’s sure to be a great time. This is open to our entire community.
